Brisas De Jazmn is one of the most iconic houses on Vieques, visible from the islands ridgeline as well as most of the north shore of the island. This luxury octagon house sits on one of the most prominent crowns of the island, offering amazing views of Isabel Segunda, the Rompeolas, Fish & Wildlife Refuge, mainland Puerto Rico, Culebra and St. Thomas. On a clear day, one feels like they could reach out and touch Charlotte Amalie. This is the largest and last titled property of its size in this part of Vieques. These uninterrupted views are guaranteed as the property includes the surrounding & sloping 5 acres. And this house is only a 3 minute drive to the popular Bastimiento Beach on the North shore. The main building consists of approximately 5,200 square feet under-roof with balconies, and was completed in 2014. The first floor has an open living area where the kitchen, dining, living and entertaining space inter-mix. Yellow cypress and mahogany were used on all of the wood surfaces to ensure longevity. The same wood was used by ex-Disney artists to build the custom cabinetry in the the kitchen, which incorporates decorative local fauna and activities like coquis and sailing. Both the electronic-rolling hurricane shutters (QMI) and hurricane glass in the Airmaster windows are tested to meet or exceed Dade county standards. Techotile aluminum roofing by Atas was installed to avoid corrosion of the steel on the pressure treated deck that is banded into the concrete super structure for strength. Serious engineering was considered when building this house. Besides the main building, the property also contains a Casita and containers. Within the casita is a bathroom and room for laundry hook-up. There is a built-in cistern under the Casita, which allows for the capture of rain water if desired, or the storage of municipal water. There is conduit in place to connect solar from the containers to the casita.
